If you want to install the new version of Exile but also keep 1.0.3 installed, follow these steps (note: these steps assume you haven't already installed Exile 1.0.4):

1. Open the Arma 3 launcher (the default one, not that A3Launcher garbage)

2. Click Mods

3. Click "Exile Mod"

4. Click the "..." button under the "Local File" image on the right hand side and click "Open folder in Windows Explorer"

5. Rename the "@Exile" folder to "@Exile-103"

6. Open the "@Exile-103" folder

7. Open mod.cpp with a text editor

8. Change the top line text that's in quotes from "Exile Mod" to "Exile Mod 1.0.3"

9. Save and close mod.cpp

10. Download the Exile Mod 1.0.4 update

11. Install the new Exile mod version in your Arma 3 folder like usual*

12. Select the proper version of Exile for the server you want to join. In the Arma 3 launcher, the version will be listed as "Exile Mod" and the old version will be listed as "Exile Mod 1.0.3".

*The default Arma 3 folder is probably something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\, depending on where you have Steam installed.

Thank you Razz for posting this.  I am in the process of updating the server files now.  We have a lot of mods and I have to go through files line by line to see what's changed and patch them one by one.  It's several hundred files.  This could take a while before we are ready to launch it (several days).  Right now there are many issues with the XM8 apps so some or all may not make the first cut.

Happy to help. Having both versions installed can help with testing, being ready to play as soon as the server gets updated, and playing in the meantime. It's better to have everything working right than to update ASAP, and since it's possible to run both versions, there's even less reason to rush into the update.
